Friendly Baby November Competition
Friendly Baby have teamed up with AURO for the Friendly Baby November Competition. This month we are offering you the chance to win paint your eco nursery for free, worth £100!
Why have we teamed up with AURO?
We all want the best for our baby, and that includes the general environment they spend most of their time in. This means that none of us would want to pollute our baby’s nursery with unnecessary chemicals, yet many of us do so without a second thought! Not enough people realise just quite how harmful conventional paint can be, despite the inevitable headaches we experience when we decorate. Or are those headaches inevitable? Well, no, actually; not with AURO paints.
AURO decorating products are good for you and good for the environment. AURO stand out among manufacturers of natural paints and wood finishes because they have always been totally committed and uncompromising in their environmental standards. Their products contain only natural raw materials except for a tiny amount of a synthetic, lead-free drier, as no natural alternative exists. This drier constitutes less than 0.3% of the total volume of the product and is only used where necessary in some of their wood finishes.
AURO do not use petrochemicals in their products. They also ensure that natural raw materials come from environmentally managed sources and are produced using a sustainable ecological cycle. For example, much of the raw linseed oil used in the paints is organically grown close to the factory and any waste product and excess paint can be composted. AURO are happy to fully declare all their ingredients; these are in the technical data sheets for each individual products available from AURO’s site.
AURO paints are breathable and are based on natural ingredients and plant and mineral pigments. The wood finishes are micro-porous so they don’t flake, peel or blister and are easily maintainable. Their use of natural and plant based ingredients means that allergy sufferers and people who are chemically sensitive are more able to tolerate their products.
