Introduction
Welcome to Friendly Baby, the simple choice for cloth nappies, and natural and eco baby products.
When I was pregnant with Edmund I knew that cloth nappies were the right choice for me - after all it is kinder to the environment, kinder to the purse strings, and most importantly kinder to baby - but was overwhelmed with the confusing array of options available.
The more I researched nappies, the more I discovered about other baby products. I discovered that to be really kind to baby I also shouldn't use 'baby shampoos' and other baby toiletries as they are full of chemicals which can be quite harmful to delicate baby skin. Happily I discovered that there are natural alternatives available that work just as well, and in some cases even better than the more common brands that can be found in the shops.
Since Edmund's arrival, I discovered just quite how much everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, goes into his mouth...which got me thinking, if it is bad to eat chemicals, and it is bad to coat our skin in chemicals, then surely sucking on chemical filled toys can't be doing him much good either. It was at this point that I discovered organic soft toys, and what cute little toys they were. Great for newborns, toddlers and, dare I say it, adults alike!
