What are all of these things?
What about all of the different nappy types?
What about the sizes?
What about the fastenings?
Aplix: Fastens like a disposable with patches of hook and loop (think of velcro). This is very easy to use, but requires care when you wash it as it must be fastened otherwise it will snag in the wash. Toddlers sometimes discover the aplix and enjoying the noise it makes when opening take their nappy off when you would rather they didn't!
Nippa: The modern day equivalent to the nappy pin (although some people do still use nappy pins). This is a toddler-proof stretchy fastener that is safe and easy to use. It has small plastic teeth that grip the loops of the nappy fabric to give a totally versatile fit.
Popper: Rows of plastic poppers give a secure fit. This is toddler proof and very easy to use (often the preferred choice of Dads), but not as versatile a fit as with aplix or nippa.
