We Say: Easy to use, easy to wash and quick drying, but do need boosting - especially at night. As with all birth to potty nappies it can look very bulky on a newborn, however once the baby weighs around 10lbs this problem is overcome by leaving the waistband unfolded.

"At the age of 58, I became a father for the third time. I had two children with my first wife, my eldest having been born in 1975. In those days, all the babycare was left to the woman. To my shame, the most that I did for my kids as youngsters was to give them goodnight kiss. Everything else - feeding, nappy-changing etc - was left to my wife. We were delighted, as my wife and I are pro-Green and wherever we can, we try to be environmentally friendly. These nappies are exceptional. Even an amateur like myself found it a doddle to change my son's nappy. Right from the very beginning, I managed to fit them to him without a hitch. Those poppers are genius! To date, our son has not suffered with nappy rash, which my wife's friends find quite remarkable, and he nearly sleeps all through the night (from 7pm - 5am). At just over three months old I think that is an incredible achievement. I put it down to the nappies and their super absorbancy. They have remained soft and fluffy, despite vigorous washes and my son never seems to be in any discomfort wearing them. That cannot be said for disposable nappies, which he wore briefly when we spent a weekend away from home recently, and which kept falling loose. The nappies are easy and quick to dry too, even old cold days. The hamper that they arrived in has proved very useful for storage and is very sturdy and hard-wearing, despite appearances to the contrary. "I bought this hamper ahead of my baby's birth and started using it at about 10 days old. We soon got the hang of using the nappies and have no more leaks than when we were using disposables. Generally, I am very happy with them and my baby seems comfortable in them. They are bulky on newborns, but this is not a major problem, but it may mean that some trousers don't fit or look very strange. The only point that I would make are that we found that 20 nappies was insufficient particularly in the early days - we were washing every other day and still having to top up with disposables. Things are better now (at 5.5 weeks) and we are washing every 3 days plus we are keeping up much better, but a few more in the hamper would make it less of a chore and the cost could be kept down by providing less of the overpants (2 is sufficient for the newborn size, but I can't speak for the bigger sizes as we haven't got there yet)." - Erica, West Midlands (May 2007)
